Given the 20-month long border closure, we are asking to ensure we qualify for funds through Tourism Growth Strategy OR for a special carve out of funds to allow stores to recover from lengthy closure. We are also asking for Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA)loan forgiveness.

Obtain a Canadian Food Inspection Agency ruling that alcohol sold in 1 litre bottles at Duty Free Stores is for Export and exempted from CFIA rules for internal Canadian alcohol sales.
The creation of a tourist HST rebate program to encourage foreign tourists to shop more in Canada while visiting.
