Description of the organization's activities:
The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) is an award-winning independent think tank working to create a world where people and the planet thrive. IISD's programs conduct rigorous research and engage citizens, business and policy makers in the shared goal of developing sustainability. Subject to the articles, there shall be one class of members in the Corporation. Membership in the Corporation shall be available only to individuals interested in furthering the Corporation’s purposes and who have applied for and been accepted into membership in the Corporation by resolution of the board or in such other manner as may be determined by the board.
