The purpose of this assignment is to brief decision makers on the Sioux Lookout Friendship Accord Economic Development Corporation, its programs and impacts, and on the growing economic development needs of the First Nations communities the organization serves in northwestern Ontario. This will include the need for establishing an Indigenous Financial Institution (IFI) to support indigenous entrepreneurs and First Nations-led businesses to access capital and foster greater economic development in the region.
