• Tax policy that affect farming businesses including income tax write offs for farm losses - specifically, Section 31 of the Income Tax Act. HST policy for Ontario - list of ITC and exempt items

• Cruelty to animals legislation and policy that affect farmers' management of livestock
• Food labeling, food safety and food inspection policies, programs and regulations to ensure clear labeling and workable regulations
• Pesticide Bills, regulations or programs to ensure improvement in regulatory framework and ease of access to crop protection products for farmers

• Energy policy to ensure Ontario farmers are able to capitalize on new technologies for producing energy from farm products
• Growing Forward - Canada's 5 year agricultural policy governing farm income programs, environmental programs and innovation to ensure Ontario farmers enjoy an internationally competitive environment

• Environmental management of endangered species regulations or policies that affect farmers normal farm practices in the protection of habitat
• Environmental programming on the protection of water courses from spills or degradation from farming practices with regards its impact on farm practices and farmer liability
• Farm income programming to provide necessary relief to Ontario farmers in cases of disaster, trade action, market failure or international subsidies
