Religion	Framework on Palliative Care in Canada, with respect to promoting the expansion of palliative care for all Canadians, including increased government funding.	Policies or Program
Religion	To defend the freedom of religion and conscience against policies and legislation which, either intentionally or unitentionally, would seek to curtail or limit legitimate forms of religious speech and expression. Presently, this includes the CCCB's opposition to a proposed amendment to Bill C-9, titled ‘An Act to amend the Criminal Code (hate propaganda, hate crime, and access to religious or cultural places).’ As per the proposed amendment, the current provision in the Criminal Code slated for removal states: “(3) No person shall be convicted of an offence under subsection (2) [...] (b) if, in good faith, the person expressed or attempted to establish by an argument an opinion on a religious subject or an opinion based on a belief in a religious text.”	Legislative Proposal, Bill or Resolution
Religion	To encourage the Government of Canada to work collaboratively with the CCCB as well as individual Catholic dioceses and religious orders to further reconciliation with Indigenous peoples in Canada.	Policies or Program
Constitutional Issues, Health	With respect to "Medical Assistance in Dying" or ("MAiD"), the CCCB objects unequivocally to euthanasia/assisted suicide and to all legislation that permits euthanasia/assisted suicide, and, therefore, disagrees with any expansion of the criteria of admissibility to "MAiD" to vulnerable populations, including persons with mental illness and "mature minors." Constitutional Issues, Religion, Taxation and Finance	With respect to the House of Commons' Finance Committee's a) Recommendation 429: No longer provide charitable status to anti-abortion organizations; and b) Recommendation 430: Amend the Income Tax Act to provide a definition of a charity which would remove the privileged status of “advancement of religion” as a charitable purpose, the CCCB objects and seeks to persuade the government to abandon such proposals.
