To advocate for continued support of Financial Literacy Iniativies including the passing of Bill c-28 (Financial Literacy Leader Act) Also illustrate the other reccomendations and importance of the Task Force's reccomendations(www.financialliteracyincanada.com) specifically, the Task Force's recommendation #8, "The Task Force recommends that the Government of Canada, in partnership with stakeholders, provide tools to help Canadians to help Canadians become better informed about the role and benefits of professional financial advice, as well as how to choose a financial practitioner" (p. 44 in the Report of Reccomendation on Financial Literacy: Canadians and their Money: Buliding a brighter financial future -Dec. 2010).

FPSC certifies individuals who have a proven competency in financial planning, and who have agreed to be subject to a code of ethics and a rigorous enforcement system.
