Organization's membership or classes of membership: CAUT ESTABLISHED N 1951 REPRESENTS APPROXIMATELY 28,500 UNIVERSITY TEACHERS, ACADEMIC LIBRARIANS AND RESEARCHERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. ITS MEMBERS INCLUDE LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS IN UNIVERSITIES IN EVERY PROVINCE AND IT IS MANAGED BY A COUNCIL THAT MEETS TWO TIMES A YEAR. THESE MEETINGS ARE ATTENDED BY DELEGATES FROM ALL THE MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS, BOTH LOCAL AND PROVINCIAL. BETWEEN MEETINGS THE ASSOCIATION IS RUN BY AN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, THE MEMBERS OF WHICH ARE ELECTED ANNUALLY. CAUT IS ALSO AFFILIATED WITH THE BC PROVINCIAL ASSOCIATION (CIEABC) AS WELL AS THE QUEBEC FEDERATION (FQPPU).
