THE CCHREI IS ADMINISTERING THE INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL YOUTH CORPS PROJECT (IEYC) AND NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL YOUTH CORPS PROJECT (NEYC) ON BEHALF OF ENVIRONMENT CANADA AND HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT CANADA (HRDC), RESPECTIVELY. AS WELL, ON BEHALF OF HRDC, THE CCHREI IS MANAGING THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS: AN ENVIRONMENTAL SECTOR DATA DEVELOPMENT PROJECT; TWO YOUTH INTERNSHIP PROJECTS; A YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROJECT; A SURVEY FOR THE DEMAND FOR AN ABORIGINAL ENVIRONMENTAL YOUTH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM; THE DEVELOPMENT PHASE OF THE CANADIAN ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION APPROVALS BOARD ( CECAB); AND THE PRELIMINARY PHASE OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS FOR PROFESSIONALS.
Subject Matter: Prospective: THE NATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL STANDARDS PRELIMINARY REPORT FOR THE NATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL STANDARDS FOR PROFESSIONALS WILL BE COMPLETED AND THE SECOND PHASE OF THE PROJECT WILL COMMENCE. THE CCHREI WILL CONTINUE TO MANAGE ON BEHALF OF ENVIRONMENT CANADA THE INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL YOUTH CORPS PROJECT. ON BEHALF OF HRDC, THE CCHREI WILL CONTINUE TO MANAGE: THE ENVIRONMENTAL SECTOR DATA DEVELOPMENT PROJECT; A FURTHER PRELIMINARY STUDY OF AN ABORIGINAL YOUTH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM, THE NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL YOUTH CORPS PROJECT; THE PHASE 2 OF THE ORIGINAL YOUTH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM, THE YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM; AND THE CANADIAN ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION APPROVALS BOARD. THE ORIGINAL YOUTH INTERNSHIP PROJECT WILL BE COMPLETED THIS PERIOD. AS WELL, THE CCHREI WILL ALSO BE MANAGING A PORTION OF A PAVILION AT GLOBE '98 ON BEHALF OF HRDC. IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE CCHREI WILL ALSO BE INVOLVED IN A SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZED BUSINESS PERFORMANCE BENCHMARKING PROJECT, A FURTHER EXTENSION OF THE YOUTH INTERNSHIP PROJECT TO OTHER AREAS IN CANADA, A CAREER INFORMATION PROGRAM AND A NATIONAL CONTAMINATED SITES CERTIFICATION PROGRAM.
