Description of the organization's activities: CMAC is the National Trade Association representing the interests of the Canadian Confectionery industry. The CMAC develops positions, based on member's viewpoints, and responds to key government, trade and consumer issues facing the industry. The desired end result is a positive environment that ensures the short, medium and long term growth of the Canadian Confectionery industry.
Organization's membership or classes of membership: We have Active members (representing regional, national and multinational manufacturers), Affiliate members (representing first importers of confectionery) and Associate members (suppliers of goods and services to the Canadian confectionery industry). Collectively, these members represent close to 95% of the confectionery products manufactured or marketed in Canada.
