Airbus strives to provide the most efficient helicopter solutions to its customers who serve, protect, save lives and safely carry passengers in demanding environments. Its helicopters are in service across more than 150 countries worldwide, performing nearly every type of vertical flight task imaginable. The company’s product line offers the full spectrum of rotary-wing aircraft solutions for civil, government, military, law enforcement and parapublic uses.
Headquartered in Fort Erie, ON for 35 years, Airbus Helicopters Canada has a support centre in Richmond, BC and a 24/7 customer service network supporting more than 200 operators flying 700-plus aircraft across the country. The company manufactures, exports, markets, assembles, and provides services including; repair & overhaul, flight testing and training solutions for Airbus rotary wing aircraft. The Fort Erie facility is a centre of excellence for engineering and composite manufacturing and is the sole source supplier of 50 various parts installed on Airbus helicopters flying all over the world.
Airbus is a global leader in aeronautics, space and related services. In 2018 it generated revenues of $96 billion and employed a global workforce of around 134,000. Airbus employs more than 3,000 people in Canada – including more than 240 employees at the manufacturing facility in Fort Erie - and sources over $1 billion direct from Canadian companies.
