Organization's membership or classes of membership
Established in 1951, CAUT represents over 72,000 teachers, librarians, researchers and other academic professionals and general staff at public universities and colleges in Canada. Its members include academic and general staff associations as well as provincial and federated associations. Between biannual Council meetings, CAUT is governed by an Executive Committee, the members of which are elected annually. CAUT is also affiliated with the Fédération Québécoise des Professeures et Professeurs d'Université (FQPPU).
