• MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY ACT - Alignment with U.S. safety standards, flexibility on regulations for vehicles, target setting for greenhouse gases, and improved recall completion rates.
• NORTH AMERICAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT - Relating to the need to ensure protection of the integrated nature of auto industry and supplier network in North America.

• Analysis of Companies’ Technical Information for Vehicles and Equipment (ACTIVE) – Participating in government consultations and providing expert input on the U.S. requirements to ensure alignment between the U.S. and Canada and avoid a more burdensome Canadian-unique requirement.
• CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT PLAN - Clarifying ongoing use of substances in Canada and participating in relevant government consultations.
• Communicating about the processing of travel documents, more specifically visas.
• NATURAL RESOURCES CANADA (NRCan) - Support for Alternative Fuel Vehicle Infrastructure. Consultation on the Clean Fuels Standard.
• National Zero-Emissions Vehicle Strategy: Providing expert industry input related to a federal ZEV strategy as it relates to mandates and voluntary programs, infrastructure, incentives, supply, and public awareness. Participation in various Advisory Groups.
• Output Based Pricing System - Providing expert industry input on development of program
• Provide update to the Government about the Canadian Automotive Service Information Standard
• STRATEGIC INNOVATION FUND - Ensuring competitiveness of automobile manufacturing in Canada.
• Scrappage program - Discussions about a potential scrappage program to encourage Canadians to replace their older vehicles with new and cleaner options.
• VEHICLE THEFT - Communicating with the Government of Canada about vehicle thefts across Canada, including measures to limit vehicle theft. Working with the Government of Canada for cross-departmental coordination in addressing the issue.
