Since 1977, the Canadian Environmental Network (RCEN) facilitates cooperation and networking among non-profit, non-governmental environmental organisations across Canada and internationally. The RCEN is an independent, non-partisan organisation. Its primary role is to support environmental NGOs (ENGO) by providing them with valuable networking, communication and coordination services. The RCEN also provides opportunities for ENGO representatives to participate in federal government meetings, conferences, workshops and consultations on environmental policy issues through a transparent, bilingual and democratic delegate selection process.
