Divulge information
Lobbying is a legitimate activity when done transparently and ethically, in accordance with the Lobbying Act and the Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct. The Act and the Code set out rules for individuals who are paid to communicate or arrange meetings with federal public office holders.
If you suspect that someone has committed a breach of either the Act or Code, you may share this information with our Office at:

Anyone may submit information.
What to include
Include as many details as possible about the alleged breach such as:
- name of the individual in question
- date
- location
- other individuals involved
- supporting facts
What happens next
We will acknowledge receiving information from you. If necessary, we may interview you under oath to gather more information. This interview is recorded.
We will not disclose or confirm your identity, unless you have already made it public that you have submitted an allegation to us or if doing so is necessary to conduct the investigation or comply with legal obligations.
Individuals who submit information are not parties to any investigation that may result from their disclosure to the Office. We will not provide information about the progress or outcome of any potential investigation other than in a report to Parliament.
