Info session
We offer information sessions to help various stakeholders understand requirements and obligations related to the Lobbying Act and the Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct. Lobbying is a legitimate activity, which must be transparent and performed with the highest ethical standards.
The info sessions are done in person or remotely through webinars or teleconference. They can be individual or group sessions.
This service is free.
Who should participate
You may benefit from an info session if:
- You are paid or will be paid for activities that may include communication with a federal public office holder (lobbyist, involved in government relations, etc.)
- You are a public office holder (public office holder, including designated public office holders)
- You are or about to become a former designated public office holder and want to know more about the post-employment prohibition on lobbying (Members of the House of Commons, Senators, Ministers and their staff, Deputy Ministers, etc.)
- You’d like to know more about the work of the Office (academics, researchers, students, etc.)
- You are registered in the Registry of lobbyists and need further guidance on how to navigate the system.
