Select a criteria type your would like to use in your search. You can add more than one criteria by clicking the Add additional search criteria link and using either the AND or OR operators shown between the criteria fields.
Note the following:
The Advanced Registry Search allows you to indicate which documents you wish to search within the Registry. Depending upon your document type choice, the criteria types provided will change. When searching both Registrations and Monthly Communication Reports (the search default), only those criteria types which are found in both document types are provided. If Registrations only is selected, all criteria types pertaining to registrations are provided and finally, if Monthly Communication Reports only are chosen, all criteria types pertaining to monthly communication reports are provided.
The AND/OR operators allow you to perform more complex searches by applying the operator between criteria entered within the search form.
Example 1:
You select: Government Institution: National Research Council (NRC) AND Subject Matter: Environment OR Subject Matter: Climate
System performs: Government Institution: National Research Council (NRC) AND (Subject Matter: Environment OR Subject Matter: Climate)
Results would include documents that contain:

You select: Subject Matter: Climate OR Subject Matter: Environment AND Government Institution: National Research Council (NRC) OR Government Institution: National Energy Board (NEB)
System performs: (Subject Matter: Climate OR Subject Matter: Environment) AND (Government Institution: National Research Council (NRC) OR Government Institution: National Energy Board (NEB))
Results would include documents that contain:
For registrations: Limits results to those registrations which were active at any time on or between the dates entered.
For communications: Limits results to those monthly communication reports for communications that took place on or between the dates entered.
Note: You can enter dates into either one or both fields. If no date is entered in the From (YYYY-MM-DD) field, it will search for all documents up to the date entered in the To (YYYY-MM-DD) field. If no date is entered in the To (YYYY-MM-DD) field, it will search for all documents on or after the date entered in the From (YYYY-MM-DD) field. Note that the requirement to submit monthly communication reports began on .
