Polytechnics Canada is an alliance of Canada's thirteen leading, publicly-supported polytechnic institutions (colleges, polytechnics and institutes of advanced technology). The 13 higher educational institutions train and graduate skilled workers for the Canadian economy, offering career options that span the needs of the knowledge economy. The objective of the association focuses on increasing the understanding and recognition of the unique role played by Canadian polytechnic institutions, particularly in areas such as bachelors' degrees, apprentice training and applied research.
