Description of the organization's activities:
HCCC was incorporated as a NFP in 2017 with the following purpose:
a)to promote the health of all Canadians by facilitating the exchange of information amongst the corporation's members (and their connected patients and caregivers) as to health policy and the investment in health research of both public and private funding sources in Canada; b. to further the advancement of education of the general public, and of identifiable groups of Canadians with a common illness or health concern, through awareness campaigns and by encouraging health research so as to achieve a better level of health and wellness overall in Canada; and c. to act as a forum to bring together national health charities to work collaboratively, share best practice information and standards so as to make sustainable change for the better health and wellness of all Canadians

- HCCC, a member based organization, is dedicated to advocating for sound public policy on health issues and promoting the highest quality health research. HCCC strives for excellence in health policy and seeks to ensure that the federal government and policy makers look to the Coalition and its members for timely advice and leadership on major health issues of concern to Canadians; and that they recognize the competence, commitment and contributions of health charities in improving the health and well-being of Canadians.
HCCC was established in 1998.
- The Health Charities Coalition of Canada (HCCC) is a coalition of national health charities, established in June 2000. The HCCC provides a strong voice on common interests in areas of shared concern. It acts as a resource to member organizations and facilitates networking opportunities. Because of the close ties between national health charities and Canadians, the HCCC can ensure that the concerns of the people of Canada about health and the health system are heard by policy and decision-makers.

There is one class of Membership with the following eligibility criteria.
1. Maintains registered charitable status
2. Is a national health charity
3. Serves Canadians in all provinces and territories
4. Serves the people of Canada in both official languages
5. Focuses on improving health as a part of its mission, particularly in the areas of health research and health policy (HCCC's priority areas of focus).

AFFILIATE Membership
1. Maintains registered charitable status
2. Is a national health charity
3. Focuses on improving health as a part of its mission
4. Provides reference letters from two current members of HCCC who are prepared to support the membership application
5. Annual revenues must be under $250,000

3. Has a primary focus on health issues
4. Is committed to serving the people of Canada in both official languages
- The following criteria must be met in order to obtain membership in the HCCC:The organization must be a Canadian registered health charity The organization must express a committment to providing service in both English and French languages The organization must be national in scopeThere are two classes of membership: (1) Sustaining and (2) Friends
