Description of the organization's activities:
National industry association representing companies active in wind energy, solar energy and energy storage in Canada. Membership includes equipment manufacturers and component suppliers, project developers, owners and operators, and a broad range of service providers to the industry. Our mission is to: * Advocate on behalf of the wind energy, solar energy and energy storage industries to benefit Canada’s economy and energy future. * Increase stakeholder understanding that renewable electricity and energy storage are clean, low-cost, reliable, flexible and scalable solutions for Canada’s energy needs. * Provide a forum devoted to dialogue, collaboration, stewardship and growth of the industry.

The association has seven levels of membership, from "Installer" to "Industry Leader". Each membership tier comes with different benefits, and is associated with different organizational sizes, and contribution amounts.

  • Organization's memberships or classes of memberships in previous versions:
    • The association has two classes of membership: 1. Front-of-the-Meter. Members whose products or services are provided either directly to a grid operator or to customers located elsewhere on the grid, and that are connected to an electricity transmission or distribution system. 2. Behind-the-Meter. Members whose products or services are provided directly to an electricity consumer, and are physically connected to that consumer’s electricity infrastructure. Within each member class, there are multiple levels of membership.
