Framework on Palliative Care in Canada, with respect to promoting the expansion of palliative care for all Canadians, including increased government funding.
To encourage the Government of Canada to work collaboratively with the CCCB as well as individual Catholic dioceses and religious orders to further reconciliation with Indigenous peoples in Canada.
With the threat that MAiD may be soom be accessible to persons whose sole medical condition is mental illness, to call for greater investment in mental health resources for Canadians.

Regarding Bill C-39 An Act to amend An Act to amend the Criminal Code (medical assistance in dying), the CCCB urges the federal
government to repeal entirely or permanently suspend the provision of ‘MAiD’ to persons whose sole medical condition is a mental illness.
To defend the freedom of religion and conscience against policies and legislation which, either intentionally or unitentionally, would seek to curtail or limit legitimate forms of religious speech and expression.

To promote and coordinate Catholic activity in Canada; to ensure the advancement of the Roman Catholic Church in Canada; to collaborate with all other Churches with a view of promoting and encouraging the ecumenical movement; to do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.

“The members of the Conference are:
1° all the diocesan Bishops of Canada and those equivalent to them in law as well as all coadjutor Bishops and auxiliary Bishops;
2° all eparchial Bishops and those equivalent to them in law with jurisdiction in Canada as well as all coadjutor Bishops and auxiliary Bishops;
3° other titular Bishops who exercise in the territory a special office assigned to them by the Apostolic See or by the Episcopal Conference.”
