Reason for amendment:	The Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying (OCL) has been made aware of a possible inaccuracy in a monthly communication report filed in respect of a communication between your organization and Minister Vic Toews, a designated public office holder at Public Safety Canada. The discrepancy was brought to our attention by Minister Toews' office. In an e-mail dated 2013-02-19, the OCL was advised that Minister Toews' does not agree that the above-mentioned communication meets the criteria for lobbying activity. He agrees he attended a reception hosted by the Canadian Pork Council, but says this was not a pre-arranged communication and there was no government business of any kind discussed with your organization during the reception. Pursuant to subsection 9(3.1) of the Act, every individual who is required to submit returns or other documents to the Commissioner shall provide, in the prescribed time, manner and form, any clarification or correction to them that the Commissioner requires. Please review the information contained in Communication Report #11850-242969 and ensure that inaccuracies are corrected no later than 10 days after the date of this request. Therefore, the corrections should be made by 2013-03-01. Communication reports may be amended or cancelled by following the attached instructions.
