List of Details Subject matter Detail Health Budget 2025 - as it relates to full and sustainable funding by the Government of Canada in: A Dementia Strategy for Canada: Together We Aspire Budget, Health Communications regarding potential funding to Alzheimer Society Research Program for research to study the topic of Veterans and Dementia in a truly Canadian context. Budget, Health Communications regarding the need for $20 million over 5 years through programs like Age Well at Home, and a longer-term and larger commitment to programs like ASC's FirstLink® that have been proven to support people with dementia to live well as long as possible at home and in the community. Budget, Health Communications regarding the need to invest $15 million over 3 years to implement national standards for diagnosis, treatment and care for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. This will ensure that the health systems across the country have access to quality standards to be able to realize the benefits of any disease modifying drugs approved in Canada. Health Create and fund programs to support Canadians diagnosed with young-onset dementia. Health Funding opportunities under PHAC's Dementia Community Investment and Dementia Strategic Fund to support awareness-raising, dementia guidelines, diversity & Inclusion and best practices. Health Health Canada as it pertains to the approval of disease-modifying treatments for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias that aim to slow or halt the progression of the disease.
