The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB)· The Canadian Grain Commission· Grain companies have arrangements with financial institutions to offer credit to farmers, etc.· Standards for the Health and Safety of employees.· Rural infrastructure (i.e. roads and services) · Trade of agricultural products within Canada and internationally· Legal procedings (i.e. grain companies are sometimes the subject of court cases with other organizations in the grain industry)· Labour and Employment· Rural Development· Grain Grading and Testing technology.· Grain Company Income Taxation and and Grain Elevator Property Taxation· Transportation of Grain and Ag Products - Rail and Truck¿ Interested in policies governing international trade within the Department of International Trade, specifically to do with meeting quality specifications and international standards for food safety and quality¿ Interested in policies within the Canada Revenue Agency for taxation of grain companies, such as policies that determine taxation levels for various types of grain elevators and obsolescence / exemption factors for grain elevators.¿ Interested in the upcoming changes to the Canadian Wheat Board Act and/or Regulations concerning the deregulation of barley. |

Regulation | Interested in an introduction under section 18 of the CWB Act for cabinet to issue a direction with respect to the manner in which the CWB is to conduct its operations, perform its duties and exercise its powers. We are asking government to use this section to provide a Code of Conduct/Arbitration Process for fair dealing/non-discrimination duty on the CWB. |
