conjunction with a Canadian mining company operating in Latin America.

- Species at Risk Act (SARA): Providing advice and input on the successful implementation of SARA, to improve the recovery of species at risk in Canada
Policies or Program
- Discussed role of environmental flows in existing policy for fish habitat and potential for review of the existing 1986 policy.
- Discussion with NRCan’s Impacts and Adaptation division with respect to the adaptation related work WWF-Canada has completed and is planning to undertake over the 2012-2013 fiscal year, and the corresponding NRCan program for the same time frame.
- Discussions regarding the results of the Shell/Pembina "No-Regrets" dialogue on climate and energy and what WWF-Canada proposes to be incorporated into federal climate program.
- Lobbied in respect to requesting that a permenant role as an observer on the Arctic Council be granted to WWF, which is determined by the federal government.
- Lobbied in respect to the need for stronger conservation measures for protected areas and caribou.
- Lobbied in respect to the need for the development of Integrated Ocean Management plans (Atlantic, Pacific, Arctic) and establishing marine protected areas.
- Within the context of the annual Green Budget Coalition meetings, lobbied with respect to the federal government meeting its commitment(S) to phase out fossil fuel subsidies.
- Within the context of the annual Green Budget Coalition meetings, lobbied with respect to the need to develop a national conservation plan and to ensure that the required resources to implement and manage said plan are secured and maintained.
- Within the context of the annual Green Budget Coalition meetings, recommendations where made with respect to maintaining (exisiting levels at a minimum) and increasing funds allocated to marine planning and the establishing of marine protected areas.
