- Access to medication - expanding the range of medications covered by various insurance plans, and the number of Canadians able to access and afford medication. This includes a national pharmaceutical strategy.
- CIHR as it relates to continued federal funding & long term investment in health research
- Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, as it relates to continued federal funding & long term investment in health research through CIHR
- Compassionate Care Benefit Program under Employment Insurance, asking the federal governmnet to improve this benefit by expanding eligibility
- Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, including protocols, guidelines and implementation
- Health Canada's tobacco control program, including sustaining government funding levels, and implementation of effective programs and policies
- Rotterdam Convention, as it relates to the export of asbestos and the creation of a national disease registry and building registry
- UN Declaration on the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases, as it pertains to cancer control, including the development of a Global Coordination Mechanism; increased federal investments in prevention initiatives; and policy changes as it relates to tobacco control, healthy living, and access to screening and treatment, as identified in the Declaration
