The RAIC has a Committee on Regenerative Environment and collectively we advocate and lobby for sustainable buildings in Canada and the built environment helping to reduce the carbon footprint as well as contribute to actionable items within the accord

The RAIC lobbies the government to help architects in the built environment have access to necessary assets to ensure best practise in designing and building within the health care sector. for example: hospitals, long-term care facilities etc

The RAIC creates educational content to support the Architectural community in all ways related to a better built environment.
- Employment and Training
The RAIC works in collaboration with many stakeholders in ensuring that new graduates in the architectural community have the opportunity to be gainfully employed within their area of practise. The RAIC offers ongoing training and development to help with educational requirements within their field.
- Infrastructure
The RAIC is the leading voice for excellence in the built environment in Canada, demonstrating how design enhances the quality of life, while addressing important issues of society through responsible architecture. The RAIC’s mission is to promote excellence in the built environment and to advocate for responsible architecture.
- Research and Development
The RAIC supports and endorses R&D with many stakeholders. The RAIC seeks grant funding from government agencies to assist in the continuum of research and development for Architects in Canada.

The RAIC has a Truth and Reconciliation task force and an Indigenous task force and we advocate for Indigenous matters related to inclusivity, equity and justice in the built environment
