Dans le cadre de quatre ententes de contribution financière sous forme de prêts en lien avec le programme « Partenariat Technologique Canada », Premier Tech échange actuellement avec certains représentants du Ministère de l’Innovation, Sciences et Développement économique du Canada (le « Ministère »). Ces discussions concernent le mode de calcul des redevances payables par Premier Tech au Ministère suivant une interprétation divergente qu’ont les parties à ce sujet.
Discussions pour déterminer quel autre programme est disponible, soit au niveau fédéral ou provincial (Manitoba), suite à une récente décision rejetant la demande de Premier Horticulture Ltd. ("PHL") dans le cadre du "Fonds pour l'emploi et la croissance dans l'Ouest canadien", qui fait partie du "Fonds pour l'emploi et la croissance" fédéral (le "Programme"). PHL sollicite cet appui dans le cadre d'un investissement de 13,5 millions de dollars visant à améliorer, optimiser et moderniser son usine de fabrication à Richer, au Manitoba.
PHL demande également que la décision susmentionnée soit reconsidérée, car elle estime qu'elle répond aux exigences du programme.
Divers démarches et discussions avec les représentants de Innovation, Sciences et Développement économique Canada (ISDE), dans le cadre du volet 1 du Le Fonds stratégique pour l'innovation, dans le but d’obtenir une contribution remboursable et/ou non remboursable pour financier les activités de Recherches et de Développement qui accéléreront le transfert de la technologie et la commercialisation de produits, de processus et de services novateurs de l’entreprise. Montant demandé : 25M$CAN
Premier Tech, par l’entremise de son Groupe d’affaires Premier Tech Producteurs et Consommateurs, souhaite investir dans la création d’une nouvelle usine pour produire de la perlite expansée directement sur son site de production des substrats de culture à valeur ajoutée situé à Rexton afin de subvenir à ses besoins actuels et futurs. Pour ce faire, Premier Tech souhaite obtenir une aide financière du gouvernement fédéral sous forme de prêt(s) sans intérêt ou de prêt(s) pardonnable(s). L’aide financière servirait, entre autres, à soutenir les investissements nécessaires à la construction, la mise en fonction et l’opération de la nouvelle usine ainsi que la création d’emplois et la formation de nouveaux équipiers.
Les programmes d’aide financière suivants ont été abordés:
-APECA, nom du programme inconnu, demande générale, montant maximal 500 000$
- APECA, programme Pilote d’accélération numérique (en anglais le Digital Adoption Pilot (DAP)). Le programme offre un support de 20 000$ (non remboursable) pour le développement de la stratégie (phase et jusqu’à un 80 000$ additionnel (non-remboursable) pour projets d’implantation (phase 2)
-Programme volet adaptation des technologies (réduction des GES)

Pour l'enregistrement des produits, La Loi sur les engrais L.R.C. (1985), ch. F-10 indique clairement que nul ne peut vendre un produit au Canada, sauf s'il est emballé et étiqueté comme prescrit. Premier Tech croit fermement que l'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments (l'ACIA) devrait agir immédiatement afin de faire cesser toute pratique qui va à l'encontre des lois établies par le gouvernement canadien concernant la présente Loi sur les engrais.

Démarches effectuées auprès de l’Agence Fédérale de Développement Économique pour le Sud de l’Ontario (FedDev) et Environnement et Changement Climatique Canada, pour une demande de support politique, afin d'obtenir un suivi sur le progrès et l'approbation de demandes d’homologation.
