Policies or Program
- Advice with regard to the commitment to resettling 40,000 Afghan refugees in Canada, and strengthening coordination and evacuation of Afghans at risk, particularly women, including strong GBA Plus, adequate funding and centering the voices of Canadian Afghan women and Afghan women leaders in Canada’s response and humanitarian assistance.
- Encouraged federal government to ensure that judges were trained regularly on the subject of sexual assault
- Encouraged federal government to take steps to end violence against women, to build economic prosperity for women, to promote diverse leadership, and to take part in a federal debate on women's issues with other parties.
- Gave advice and information to Pay Equity Commissioner on research, and implementation of pay equity measures
