Dans le cadre de quatre ententes de contribution financière sous forme de prêts en lien avec le programme « Partenariat Technologique Canada », Premier Tech échange actuellement avec certains représentants du Ministère de l’Innovation, Sciences et Développement économique du Canada (le « Ministère »). Ces discussions concernent le mode de calcul des redevances payables par Premier Tech au Ministère suivant une interprétation divergente qu’ont les parties à ce sujet.
Premier Tech a entrepris des démarches auprès des ministres et des représentants d’Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada, des Affaires intergouvernementales, d’Innovation, Sciences et Développement économique Canada et d’Environnement et Changement climatique Canada dans le cadre d’un projet d’investissement d’envergure en innovation, recherche et développement portant, notamment, mais, non-limitativement, sur l’agriculture de demain, la transition énergétique, la réduction des G.E.S. et le développement de nouveaux produits et méthodes. L’objectif de ces démarches est de négocier des financements auprès des organismes gouvernementaux susmentionnés pour la réalisation dudit projet d’investissement. Le montant et la forme de ces financements (prêts ou subventions) demeurent à être déterminés, mais pourraient être recherchés, entre autres, sous le Fonds stratégique pour l'innovation.
Legislative Proposal, Bill or Resolution
Pour l'enregistrement des produits, La Loi sur les engrais L.R.C. (1985), ch. F-10 indique clairement que nul ne peut vendre un produit au Canada, sauf s'il est emballé et étiqueté comme prescrit. Premier Tech croit fermement que l'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments (l'ACIA) devrait agir immédiatement afin de faire cesser toute pratique qui va à l'encontre des lois établies par le gouvernement canadien concernant la présente Loi sur les engrais.

Démarches auprès du gouvernement fédéral afin d’informer sur les activités de restauration de tourbières et d’obtenir de nouvelles licences de récolte de tourbes.
Regulation
Communication avec les représentants du ministère de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire et, éventuellement, les représentants du Conseil du trésor et du ministère de l’Innovation, Sciences et Développement économique Canada relativement au Règlement sur les engrais, C.R.C., ch 666. Le groupe Premier Tech Producteurs et Consommateurs souhaite que ledit règlement soit amendé pour, notamment, que soient retirées l’obligation d’indiquer sur l’étiquette des produits le numéro d’enregistrement de l’engrais ou du supplément enregistré inclus dans les mélanges ainsi que l’obligation de divulguer dans la garantie certaines informations privilégiées. Le but est que le règlement devienne opérationnel et commercialement viable pour l’industrie touchée par cette nouvelle réglementation.
