Program development in southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. Consultations for funding and support opportunities for, project proposals and work permits for international students and international job placements for Canadian students. Advocacy in the areas of Copyright and SchoolNet. Discussions regarding forestry activities.VAC supporting research in Human Ecology.Development of the university's international initiatives.Advocacy for multi-year official languages funding for programs include French as a Minority Language and French as a Second Language. Advocacy for Official Languages Office to Support Communities - Funding program for the training of French-speaking health professionals. Advocacy for funding support for students involved in co-op programs. Support for project/conference on trade in natural resources and resource pricing. Discussions on Western Centre for Economic Research. Discussions were held regarding indirect costs of research funding and the funding the granting councils, the Canadian Foundation for Innovation and the Canada Research Chairs Program.
