Legislative Proposal
|
Copyright reform legislation that is compliant with the World Intellectual Property Association (WIPO) treaties and contains a) more specific language and harsher penalties for the manufacture and use of circumvention devices used to bypass embedded technical protection measures (TPMs) and b) "notice and take down" - requiring Internet service Providers (ISPs) to take down websites offering pirated products once the ISP has been notified and provided evidence by the rights holder.
