Activities during the previous six months have included communication with members of the federal and provincial governments that have influence over renewable fuel policy. This mainly includes agriculture and energy ministries.Lobbying-related activities by the senior management of Canadian Bioenergy Corporation during the previous six months have also involved the development of renewable fuel policy through organizations such as the Canola Council of Canada and the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association. Doug Hooper is a board member of both organizations.

Canadian Bioenergy Corporation's lobbying activities will involve renewable fuel policy, specifically the federally mandated renewable fuel standard and fiscal policies to be put in place to aid the development of this new industry.
Subvention, Contribution ou autre avantage financier
Canadian Bioenergy received notification on December 11, 2006 of receipt of a $300,000 grant under the Biofuels Opportunities for Producers Initiative program. On July 22, 2007 CBEC accepted $300,000 for an additional BOPI project. In addition, funding was received from NRCan for a study titled "Organizational and Ownership Structure Report for Vertically Integrated Feedstock to Biodiesel Production Models". This study was completed in April 2006.

ecoENERGY for Biofuels Program - The initiative will provide operating incentives to producers of renewable alternatives to gasoline and diesel based on production levels and other factors. It will make investment in production facilities more attractive by partially offsetting the risk associated with fluctuating feedstock and fuel prices.
