- C315 - An Act to provide for the harmonization of environmental standards throughout Canada - monitoring its impact on the regulation of the profession of geoscience and on services in environmental geoscience that registered geoscience professionals provide across Canada.
- C565 - An Act respecting Corporate Social Responsibility for the Activities of Canadian Mining Corporations in Developing Countries - monitoring its impact on the regulation of the profession of geoscience and the expert services, in the international mining and mineral exploration sectors, that registered Canadain geoscience professionals provide in those of Developing Countries in which Canadian businesses operate.
- S226 - An Act to regulate securities and to provide for a single securities commission for Canada- monitoring its impact on the regulation of the profession of geoscience and on expert (Qualified Persons) services related to securities reporting and public disclosures that registered geoscience professionals provide.

- GAT and GATS - monitoring devleopments and contributing to discussions as a stakeholder as GAT and GATS may impact inbound and outbound international services by geoscience professionals
- HRSDC programs related Canada's Agreement on Internal Trade (such as Foreign Credentials Recognition, Competency-based Assessments and Chapter 7 - Labour Mobility) - CCPG monitors such programs and contributing as a stakeholder as warrented
Regulation
- NI 43-101 - for Mineral Projects - CCPG has an interest in Federal government's role in facilitating and improving this National Instrument and in ensuring the specialized scientific skills and professional accountability that geoscience professionals can provide to society in this and such other areas (such as ground water resources and husbandry, environmental impact assessment)
- NI 51-101 - Oil and Gas Activity Reporting - CCPG has an interest in Federal government's role in facilitating and improving this National Instrument and in ensuring the specialized scientific skills and professional accountability that geoscience professionals can provide to society in this and other areas (such as ground water resources and husbandry, environmental impact assessment) are utilized.
