- Introduction of copyright reform legislation to bring Copyright Act into compliance with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Internet treaties and a) contains more specific language and stringent penalties for the manufacture and use of circumvention devices used to bypass embedded technical protection measures (TPMs) and b) requires Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to take down websites offering pirated products once the ISP has been notified and provided evidence by the rights holder.
- Propose omnibus bill that amends pertinent legislation for the purpose of increasing enforcement actions and penalties for intellectual property offences and piracy.

- Inform about Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN)'s proposed Tariff 22 (Communications of Musical Works via the Internet or Similar Transmission Facilities) and potential impact on entertainment software industry.
- Trade classification of on-line video game services under the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS).
