- General / Introductory Discussion - hosted CRTC Chair, Vice-Chairs and Secretary-General at CCSA Board Dinner dinner, February 10, 2009 in Gatineau, QC. Pre-arranged dinner between board members of Canadian Cable Systems alliance Inc. ("CCSA"), CCSA senior staff and CRTC Commissioners, including Michel Arpin - CRTC Vice-Chair, Broadcasting. CTRC Chair and CRTC Vice-Chair, Telecommunications were invited but could not attend.
Discussions included simplification of regulation, generally, for small cable systems, issues with migration of television programming to digital distribution, experience with roll-out of Video-On-Demand services and concerns with CRTC dispute resolution procedures. None of those discussion items relates to a specific, identifiable regulation or policy initiative. Rather, these were general discussions intended to acquaint the CRTC with challenges and issues faced by small cable systems.
