Legislative Proposal, Bill or Resolution
- Amendments the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Canada Labour Code to remove provisions that permit mandatory retirement. Bill C13 Part 12.
- Amendments to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies Creditors Arrangement Act regarding Super-priority creditor status for pension plan solvency deficiencies, lomg term disability, severance pay and termination pay. FETCO's role is to present the point of view of major federally regulated employers.
- Bill C-205 An Act to amend the Canada Labour Code (Replacement Workers). FETCO wants to retain the right of federally regulated employers to use replacement workers in the event of a strike or lock-out.
- Bill C-315 A bill that would require federal undertakings and federally regulated businesses in Quebec to carry on their activities using the French language.
