- Presently in the second year of a three-year ACAAF grant (NA0155). This project will create the Canadian Fertilizer Products Forum (CFPF), which is national in scope and includes a wide variety of stakeholders from across Canada. The CFPF aim is to build a national consensus on fertilizer and supplements issues affecting the sector, work to build mutually beneficial processes and advise government on the policy and regulation of fertilizers and supplements.

- Formerly known as Bill C-377, (Climate Change Accountability Act), An ACT to ensure Canada assumes its responsibilities in preventing dangerous climate change.
- Formerly known as Bill C-415, An ACT to amend the Canada Labour Code in respect to the prohibiting of employers under the Canada Labour Code from hiring replacement workers to perform the duties of
employees who are on strike or locked out especially if a strike or lockout could pose an immediate and serious danger to the safety or health of the public, the Board,
after providing the parties an opportunity to
agree, may, by order, (a) designate the supply of those essential services, the operation of those facilities and
the production of those goods that it considers
necessary to continue in order to prevent an immediate and serious danger to the safety or health of the public.
- Formerly known as Bill C-56, An ACT to amend the Transporation of Dangerous Goods in order to enhance public safety — the safety of human life and health and of property and the environment in respect to Subsection 5 SAFETY AND SECURITY SAFETY REQUIREMENTS, SECURITY REQUIREMENTS, SAFETY STANDARDS AND SAFETY MARKS
- Formerly known as Bill S-206, An ACT to amend the Food and Drugs ACT in respect to clean drinking water and the inspection of any place from which contaminants may escape into a drinking
water source.
- Formerly known as Bill S-210, An ACT to amend the Criminal Code in repsect to suicide bombings
- Formerly known as S-208, An ACT to require the Minister of the Environment to establish, in coooperation with the provinces, an agency with the power to identify and protect Canada’s watersheds that will constitute sources of drinking water in the future
- Formerly known as S-211, Drinking Water Sources ACT. An Act to require the Minister of the Environment to establish, in co-operation with the provinces, an agency with the power to identify and protect Canada's watersheds that will constitute sources of drinking water in the future. To establish a federal-provincial agency that will have the power to administer both federal and provincial laws and the regulatory authority to identify, protect and restrict the use and development of lands that constitute watershed areas essential to Canada’s drinking water needs in the future.

- Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Growing Forward Program, developed to optimize collective national investments by governments, academia and industry in facilities, equipment, skilled researchers and project funding in support of the agricultural, agri-food and agri-based products sector.
- Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Accord (APEC),
to enhance economic growth and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region. The APEC-Sub-committee on Standards and Conformance works to eliminate trade distortions arising through domestic regulations and standardization activities.
- Changes to Food Security Program to support strategic, evidence-based decision making in the management of Canada's food system and the promotion of food safety, nutrition and healthy eating in Canada.
- Changes to Lobbyist Registration Program in order to provide reliable and accurate information on the lobbying activities,
- Changes to the Canadian Corporate Taxation System in order to ensure a fair and equitable taxation in the manfacturing sector

- Changes to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Policy to ensure public safety from the hazards of dangerous goods when transported.
- Changes to the Voluntary Challenge and Registry Program to provide the means for promoting, assessing and recognizing the effectiveness of the voluntary appraoch in addressing climate change
- Reviewing the Ammonium Nitrate Code of Practice which governs how retailers release the product to consumers. This review is to ensure this exchange is safe and so the product will not be sold to the wrong individuals.
- The Ammonium Nitrate Program Review and Audit is to ensure sales of Ammonuium Nitrate do not fall into the wrong hands. As Ammonium Nitrate can be used as an explosive, the Canadian Fertilizer Institute wants to ensure purchasers of the product are not criminals seeking to do harm.
