- Budget: 1) To increase Canadian businesses competitiveness, drive productivity growth through trade; 2) Maximizing job creation and incomes for Canadians through enhanced labour market information; 3) Maximizing the economic impact of the Building Canada Plan by improving GTA transportation infrastructure; 4) Maintain fiscal disciple and reduce the Government's GDP to debt ration; 5) Promote investment in innovation.
- Transportation Act Review: 1) Reducing traffic gridlock through improving regional transportation infrastructure and governance; 2) Promotion healthy and robust regional airports; 3) Providing input on public-private partnerships; 3) Facilitating global trade through all modes of transportation infrastructure.
Policies or Program
- Global Market Action Plant: 1) Helping GTA SMEs overcome barriers to exporting; 2) Involving Global Affairs Canada, EDC, BDC, etc. in the Board's trade accelerator program (TAP); 3) Helping grow regional business clusters.
- Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) & Comprehensive Economic & Trade Agreement (CETA): 1) Promote adoption of free trade agreements.
