- Economic development: seeking funding to increase awareness of the Trail being an economic driver for Canada.
- Infrastructure: seek funds from the Build Canada Fund in order to build capacity on the Trail. That could include increasing tourism capacity (way finding signs, community signs etc), capital (washrooms, portaging infrastructure) and actual trail building.
- Regional Development: Seeking funding through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Funding That could include increasing tourism capacity (way finding signs, community signs etc), capital (washrooms, portaging infrastructure) and actual trail building.
- The TCT is lobbying the government for funding to enable to Trail to be apart of nation wide celebrations for Canada's 150th anniversary. It is currently unclear how those events will be executed as we are waiting for further direction from the Government regarding their expectations for Canada 150.

- Environment: continue to see conservation for land on the Trail and to seek funding to continue to build new trail.
- Immigration: Develop a program where citizenship ceremonies take place on the Trail and increase awareness of the Trail to new Canadians.
- Seeking funding to celebrate Canada's 150 Anniversary on the Trail
- Tourism: Seeking dollars and increasing awareness of the Trail regarding tourism.

- Consultation regarding designating trail TCT within national parks
