Regulation
- Canada Oil and Gas Operations Act, in respect of resetting the Frontier and Offshore Regulatory Renewal Initiative to allow for broader stakeholder participation; and concerns about the adoption of non-prescriptive, performance-based language throughout the proposed new regulations, in particular with respect to Part 7 (System and Equipment Design, Operation and Maintenance) and Annex 1 (Well Containment and Control).
- Communicated in respect of a new federal framework for regulation of offshore renewable energy projects
- Communicated in respect of the Canada Wildlife Act and regulation of fisheries within the proposed Scott Islands marine National Wildlife Area
- Communicated regarding suggested improvements to the process currently underway to establish fishery regulations for Nunavut
- Communicated with respect to including fishing vessels in the Polar Code to ensure appropriate safety and environmental oversight for that type of vessel
- Communicated with respect to prohibiting oil and gas operations in the Laurentian Channel Marine Protected Area
- Communicated with respect to the Arctic Water Pollution Prevention Act and the Arctic Shipping Pollution Prevention Regulations in respect of an amendment to Section 4 that will regulate discharge of grey water waste in arctic waters.
- Communicated with respect to the Arctic Waters Pollution Prevention Act and the Arctic Shipping Pollution Prevention Regulations in respect of creation of a regulation that will phase out use of heavy fuel oil in arctic ships.

- Creation of a regulation at the International Maritime Organization that would ban the use of Heavy Fuel Oil due to potential detrimental impact on the marine environment
