- Pembina Pipeline Corporation, as partner in the Canada Kuwait Petrochemical Corporation (CKPC) is seeking government funding for the development of two processing facilities in Alberta for the CKPC’s partnerships related to propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene.

- Environmental and Regulatory Processes Review: Participating in discussions and consultations and providing input to government departments and agencies regarding Bill C-69 (An Act to enact the Impact Assessment Act and the Canadian Energy Regulator Act, to amend the Navigation Protection Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts) and Bill C-68 (An Act to amend the Fisheries Act and other Acts in consequence). This includes participating in discussions with and providing input to government agencies and departments via the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA) organized meetings and events.
Policies or Program
- Climate change policies with respect to considerations for greenhouse gas reduction targets, cap and trade and carbon pricing provisions.
- Discussions and updates related to Pembina’s projects in BC West Coast, such as the Prince Rupert propane export terminal, and Pembina’s proposed US West Coast Jordan Cove LNG export terminal.
- Market access and competitiveness - discussion regarding the government’s approach to opening new markets for Canadian oil and gas resources and related products to ensure full market value for Canadian hydrocarbons and other projects as yet in the proposal stage; discussions regarding the competitiveness of Canada’s energy sector.
- Pan-Canadian energy strategy – discussions regarding the development of a national energy strategy, Canada’s role in the North American and global energy markets, NAFTA and other trade related issues.
- Regulatory efficiency – discussion reading the government’s approach towards streamlining regulatory process as they related to large energy infrastructure projects and pipelines.

- Clean Fuel Standard – discussions and input related to the development of the Clean Fuel Standard regulations. This includes providing input through CEPA organized events.
