- For the creation of a National College for Intellectual Property agents that is established correctly through legislation and regulations.
- To modernize the regulation of patent and trade-mark agents.
- To protect from forced disclosure in litigation the confidential communications between patent and trade-mark applicants (under the Patent Act and the Trade-marks Act) and their patent and trade-mark agents.
Policies or Program
- For the creation of a First Patent Program that would allow small businesses to cover expenses incurred in getting their first patent.
- To prevent the inadvertent loss of patent or trade-mark rights of innovators due to clerical and administrative errors or force majeure situations.
