- Seek government support for economic development opportunities in Fort Chipewyan and ACFN reserve lands.
- Seek government support for the development of essential infrastructure and housing on ACFN reserve lands.
Policies or Program
- Arranging meetings to obtain information regarding Indigenous investment and ownership opportunities regarding the Government of Canada's ownership of the Trans Mountain pipeline.
- Carbon pricing, and government measures to mitigate climate change.
- Development of a baseline health study to monitor the impacts of the Athabasca oil sands on ACFN members.
- Engage in discussions regarding the enhancement of primary education for ACFN members.
- Engage in discussions regarding the recognition of ACFN's rights & self-determination.
- Ensure enforcement of federal government laws and regulations regarding the protection of treaty lands, at risk wildlife and rivers in proximity to the proposed Frontier Project near Wood Buffalo National Park.
- Seek acknowledgement and a formal apology from the Government of Canada for ACFN's forced relocation from its traditional territory in Wood Buffalo National Park.
- Species at risk protection for wood bison and caribou in northern Alberta.
- Work with government on addition-to-reserve proposals to enhance economic development opportunities and recognize ACFN's presence in Fort Chipewyan.
