Policies or Program
- On matters related to the Regulatory Cooperation Council and regulatory cooperation with respect to energy efficiency regulations and appliance standards
- Policy recommendations to require microfiber filters on washing machines. Filters would be largely ineffective. They also created a number of problems, including wasted water, increased energy use and unnecessary plastic use.
- To help Canadians save more on their monthly energy bills, we will also move forward with making Energy Star certification mandatory for all new home appliances starting in 2022.
