- Introduction of copyright reform legislation to bring Copyright Act into compliance with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Internet treaties and a) contains more specific language and stringent penalties for the manufacture and use of circumvention devices used to bypass embedded technical protection measures (TPMs) and b) requires Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to take down websites offering pirated products once the ISP has been notified and provided evidence by the rights holder.
