Legislative Proposal, Bill or Resolution, Policies or Program, Regulation
The Canadian Government is acting against the charter of rights and freedoms by denying patients safe and reasonable access to Psilocybin.
Met With Members of Parliament to discuss the need for Medical Psilocybin Regulations.
Their constituents, who are also patients with treatment-resistant depression and anxiety, are upset because they feel that health Canada is blocking their urgent section 56 requests to Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos and Minister Carolyn Bennett. The patients are upset that the Canadian healthcare system has made it easier to access MAiD (Within 10 days) than Psilocybin, as some have waited over a year for access.
The object of the lobbying is to help the government regulate psilocybin in a way that is constitutional and compassionate to Canadians in medical need.
Our organization has written the Access to Psilocybin for Medical purposes regulations (APMPR) for this purpose
