- Discuss national pharmacare and healthcare policy, as well as homecare policy, relevant to Canadian seniors.
- To coordinate committee submissions relevant to Bill C-47, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 28, 2023
- To coordinate meeting related to programs and policies related to the Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) mandate including CARP calls for mandatory RRIF withdrawals to be waived; that the government boost Old Age Security (“OAS”) by 10% for people 65 to 74 and that the government increase the Canada Pension Plan (“CPP”) Survivor Benefit by 25% for people 65 and older—from 60% to 75% and remove the benefit ceiling that negatively impacts a surviving spouse.
- To coordinate meetings between Senators and Members of Parliament related to Budget 2023 and relevant policies.

- Coordinate engagement and discussion and be at the table for decisions made and sessions held regarding the Safe Long Term Care act.
- Lead discussions with the relevant federal Ministers on a potential wage enhancement for Canadian personal support workers from federal departments.
- Organize discussions related to policy suggestions and programs suggested by the National Seniors Council and be a part of feedback given to the National Seniors Council.
- To discuss an extension of the policy permitting International Students to work additional hours off campus as it relates to the homecare labour market
- To discuss the SOCI report, released by the Senate of Canada on May 11, 2023, as it relates to older Canadians and seniors on the matter of Bill C-22.
- To hold discussions regarding the importance of RRBs in protecting the retirement benefit security of Canadians and potential legislative and policy changes.

- Coordinate meetings related to the amendments to Bill C-22, The Canada Disability Benefit Act and the subsequent, anticipated Bill C-22 regulatory phase.
- To discuss the new dental program and specifics related to older Canadians and seniors

- Continue discussions regarding immigration policies, particularly off campus work permits for international students, and a potential extension to the existing revised policy that permits international students to work additional hours off campus.
- Discuss the 2023 CARP advocacy and policy plan priorities with relevant officials in Q3/Q4 2023.
- Lead and coordinate meetings related to seniors and older Canadians health and wellness.
- Organize meetings with the FINA Committee to discuss pre-budget 2024 policy priorities for older Canadians and Canadian seniors.

- Lead discussions related to changes to the building code that may facilitate policy/regulatory changes to co-housing policies
