• Ongoing communication with Public Safety Canada, Health Canada, PHAC and Indigenous Services Canada in regards to The Salvation Army's emergency and disaster response services across the country, both in response to natural hazards and COVID-19, and with respect to the development and enhancement of a humanitarian workforce Ongoing communications with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, related to food (in)security arising out of Canada's response to COVID-19 and financial support for agencies assisting people facing food insecurity as a result of COVID-19

• Corresponding and meeting with officials at Public Safety Canada regarding the implementation of Bill C-228, An act to establish a framework to reduce recividism.

• Advocating for financial support for individuals and families facing poverty, homeless and food insecurity, particularly as a result of COVID-19, as well as financial support for charitable and non-profit organizations serving those impacted by COVID-19.
