- Communicate with Justice Canada regarding the Second Additional Protocol to the Budapest Convention with respect to requirements for domain name registry operators.
- Communicate with the Government of Canada regarding Bill C-26, An Act Respecting Cyber Security, with respect to requirements for domain name system operators.
Policies or Program
- Contribute to Public Safety Canada's National Cyber Security Strategy and National Cyber Security Action Plan to help protect Canadian organizations from cyber threats.
- Contribute to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission's Broadband Fund program, with a view to integrating Canadian Internet Registration Authority broadband data into broadband mapping processes.
- Contribute to the Government of Canada's preparations for upcoming United Nations-led multilateral meetings, including the World Summit on the Information Society+20 and Global Digital Compact.
- Contribute to the development of Government of Canada-led programs to improve data security and cybersecurity awareness in government IT infrastructure.
- Participate in Innovation, Science, and Economic Development broadband funding programs, with a view to integrating Canadian Internet Registration Authority broadband data into broadband mapping processes.
- Participate in Statistics Canada's digital economy and society program, with a view to integrating CIRA broadband data into related processes.
Regulation
- Compliance and Enforcement and Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2021-9, a proposed framework to address botnets, harmful networks of malware-infected computers that are under the control of a malicious actor.
