- Taxation issues such as level of taxation, small business deduction and capital gains taxes. We are seeking a change in the Federal Budget that would see an increase in the Small Business Deduction limit and an increase in the Capital Gains Tax threshold.

- Amend/update the Capital Cost Allowance (CCA_ rates on farm equipment -- provide incentives to retrofit old farm equipment diesel engines for environmental purposes. We seek this change in the federal budget and through new environment legislation

- Contacted Minister of Finance regarding employment insurance premiums.
Policies or Program
- We have lobbied the Minister of Agriculture and a number of Member's of Parliament to encourage Farm Credit Canada to get into the wholesale equipment finance business. This would require a policy change within FCC.

Description of the organization's activities
NAEDA is a trade association that represents the interests of farm, outdoor power and industrial equipment dealers in North America including three associations in Canada. These are the Association des Marchands de Machines Aratoires de la Province de Québec; the Canada East Equipment Dealers Association and the Canada West Equipment Dealers Association.
